The role

Continuing, Full time
Level B/C/D - AUD$110,525 to AUD$178,876 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
Clinical loading and remuneration for on call responsibilities

As an academic in Equine Medicine, you will be providing clinical and teaching services in equine medicine at the Veterinary Clinical Centre (VCC) in the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences.
A role which provides immense opportunities for professional development and is designed to fit with individual needs while working with experienced equine medicine, theriogenology, anaesthesia, dentistry and equine surgery clinicians and technical staff. You will be joining a team focused on delivering high-quality clinical services, equine medicine teaching and learning and research. You will be required to deliver teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students in both a clinical and didactic setting.
To be successful in this role, you will possess advanced clinical and academic skills relevant to equine medicine. For level C and D applicants, specialist and/or advanced qualifications in the field of the equine medicine is required. You will also have proven leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities to engage with professionals bodies and industry stakeholders. Additionally, you will demonstrate commitment to upholding the University's values and the advancement of the discipline of equine medicine and the veterinary profession through professional activity and/or research.
The successful candidate will be appointed to either a teaching research or teaching professional work function and will have access to the University's generous relocation support scheme.
About you

A relevant qualification appropriate to the level being applied for, or equivalent experience, accreditation and standing in equine medicine.
Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW.
Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and/or the European College of Equine Internal Medicine and/or the Australian and NZ College of Veterinary Scientists or eligibility to sit board examination or equivalent.
Commitment and experience in delivering high quality, student centred learning and teaching to undergraduate veterinary students.
A record of professional activity and experience in advanced equine clinical practice, and for level C applicants, a record of significant achievement at a national and /or international level relevant to equine medicine.
