This is unequivocally the most exciting time of all to join the university as it embarks on this further growth and transformational journey.Collaborative, articulate and highly organised individuals are invited to apply for the role of Lecturer (Production and Design) to contribute to our existing specialist and highly dedicated team of practitioners and educators.THE ROLEWAAPA is looking to appoint a 0.6 lecturer in Set & Costume Design.The Candidate will be able to contribute to curriculum development, and some areas of operational management of the programme.The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a Set Designer and be educated to at least degree level or have undergone comparable professional training at a recognised centre of excellence. Teaching experience in higher education or similar training provision is desirable. The Candidate will be teaching across both our BA programme as well as our VET qualifications so is also required to have a Cert IV in Teaching and Learning.You will also need to be able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and have strong written skills including the ability to produce clear reports as well as the ability to work as part of a team. You will be student focussed, building a supportive and creative environment for students to develop their practical skills, with a strong commitment to preparing students for sustained employment.SELECTION CRITERIAQUALIFICATIONS: Relevant tertiary qualifications as defined aboveTEACHING EXPERIENCE: A proven track-record as a lecturer in Production & DesignCURRICULUM: Demonstrated capacity to develop, coordinate and review teaching curriculumADMINISTRATION: Demonstrated experience in working efficiently and confidently with teaching-related administration such as curriculum documentation, Canvas or similar teaching technology, budget management, marks and assessment management, or producing creative projects with young and emerging artists.PROFESSIONAL STANDING: Evidenced experience as a practitionerINDUSTRY CONNECTIONS: Demonstrated capacity to build strategic networks and collaborative relationships with industry.EQUITY: Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion.BENEFITS & REMUNERATIONThis position attracts a remuneration of $80,938 to $108,498 pa pro-rata (ALEVA) or $113,918 to $134,596 pa pro-rata (ALEVB) plus 17% superannuation.ECU supports a work/life balance for staff.
