About the RoleThe primary responsibilities are the establishment, maintenance and coordination of a high-quality clinical education stream within the OT program and delivery of Occupational Therapy courses within the Program. This includes working with academic colleagues, clinical facilities and relevant external stakeholders to ensure good governance, quality and relevancy in all areas of the clinical education stream, on-campus learning and teaching within the program and the student experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesConducting tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions and studio sessions.Initiating and developing subject material.Subject coordination.Preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars.Supervision of the program of study of honours students or of postgraduate students engaged in coursework.Supervision of major honours or postgraduate research and industry projects.Conducting research in line with the university's strategic priorities.Involvement in professional development activities.Development of course material with appropriate advice from and support of more senior staff.Coordinating and participating in student assessment and examination.Qualifications, Skills & ExperiencePossess a Post Graduate Qualification in Occupational Therapy or related area.Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as an OT.PhD or near completion of PhD in Occupational Therapy, or related area (desirable).Experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level or higher in medical, health or professional practice-based education settings.Significant clinical experience and knowledge/network within the clinical education domain.Strong interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).Familiarity with the written style guide and enterprise agreement for support.BenefitsTraining and development opportunities.Join the University supporting its students and staff to achieve their career goals – in a personal and positive environment.How to ApplyPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
