The position
As a Lecturer, you will work with the Professor of Medical Education to ensure the medical curriculum and assessment of the Joint Medical Program (JMP) are contemporary and clearly visible to our students.
You will also be involved in the introduction of the Curriculum Mapping tool (Sofia) across the five years of the Program.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the academic component of clinical placements across the footprint of the JMP.
You will:
Lead the development of curriculum mapping initiatives by collaborating with faculty and administrators to map curriculum at the program and institutional levels and using curriculum mapping data to inform decisions about course and program revisions.
Stay up to date and provide students with clear guidance to meet NSW Health Verification Requirements including immunisations, and other compliance-related documentation.
Oversee academic aspects of clinical placements, including curriculum development and assessment.
Actively engage with Academy for Collaborative Health Interprofessional Education and Vibrant Excellence (ACHIEVE) and collaborate on research projects developed through ACHIEVE.
Actively contribute to JMP and School governance through identified roles and committees.
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience in medical education, including technological expertise particularly with curriculum mapping systems.
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in a health or medical science discipline.
Be a clinician, general practitioner or have other clinical experience.
Have highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to facilitate group discussions and participate in a diverse team environment, demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
Be experienced in undergraduate teaching and curriculum design.
Be competent in the use of information and communication technology (electronic communication tools) and familiarity with statistical analytical tools.
