Full time, 12 months fixed term. Located on the Camperdown Campus at the Faculty of Science Build your research and apply your expertise by contributing as a Lecturer to the School of History and Philosophy of Science Academic Level B, Base Salary $122,830 - $145,858 p.a. + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The School of History and Philosophy of Science is seeking a Lecturer in History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) for a full-time, 12 months position. The teaching load will involve coordinating a large first-year HPS unit that introduces students to a crucial engagement with science as well as teaching research ethics (human and animal) at the honours level. Area of research is open.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
contribute to teaching and learning practice, design and evaluation within the School/ Faculty while building on its research contribution, expertise and impact.
effectively design and deliver teaching at undergraduate level in at the intersection of Science and Ethics.
support the School's research areas by engaging in original research in any area of HPS, broadly construed.

completed a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science, Bioethics, Philosophy, STS or a related field.
experience in teaching and learning, as evidenced by teaching in an established academic program.
developed a research profile evidenced by original, high-quality and independent research.
