Join the team at our vibrant city campus and play an important and active role in our Fashion Communications teaching team. This part time role (0.4FTE) will contribute to teaching aspects of photography and fashion film on our BA(Hons) Fashion Communication with Business Studies course. You will work with existing colleagues to realise a collective vision that will continue to take the course forward.
To be effective in this role you will need:
A degree in Fashion Communication/ Fashion Film / Fashion Photography or relevant associated subjects.Professional experience in the fashion industry with detailed knowledge of contemporary fashion communication practice, including sound awareness of current professional/ vocational developments and the range of processes, skills, theories, and issues relevant to the subject, including sustainability, diversity and inclusivity.The ability to support students' creative development from concept to final product realisation.Evidence of scholarship, research/professional activities to support teaching and learning.We are particularly keen to appoint experienced lecturers who have a Postgraduate qualification, PhD or equivalent professional experience, and with experience of leading and developing modules/courses. You will join the School of Art and Media – Subject Group of Fashion, Textiles and 3D Design and Craft, based at our City Campus on Grand Parade, a hub for the University's creative courses, ground-breaking exhibitions and international research.
