Full time, ongoing position based in Hobart (other locations possible by negotiation)Relocation assistance to be negotiated with the ideal candidateThe role as Lecturer in Dementia Studies involves delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate dementia education programs and contributing to multidisciplinary research focused on the care, cause, and prevention of dementia.
What you'll do: Make a sustained and effective contribution to achieving the University's strategic objectives and operational responsibilities.Conduct high-quality research with national and international impact, secure external funding, publish findings, and supervise research higher degree students to meet and exceed Level B performance expectations.Deliver exemplary undergraduate and, if relevant, postgraduate coursework teaching.Manage and design the structure and content of award courses as required.Provide increasing academic leadership, particularly in fostering outstanding research and/or learning and teaching.Develop and maintain productive links within the University and with local, national, and interdisciplinary communities, professions, and industries.What we're looking for: A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.A strong record of research with national and preferably international recognition, notable contributions to dementia research, high-quality publications, conference presentations, and success in securing external funding.Demonstrated achievement in University-level teaching and learning.Effective contributions to building and maintaining productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, industry, and wider community.Salary details Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $150,759 comprising base salary within the range of $110,992 to $128,854 plus 17% superannuation.
