About the roleThe successful candidate for this position is expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the institution and to carry out activities to maintain and develop their scholarly and professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the preparation and delivery of substantial components of coursesUtilise high levels of professional and/or discipline-related expertise in his/her teachingIncorporate scholarship and professional expertise into teaching activitiesEnsure that teaching is informed by relevant research in the fieldContribute to the development of engaging, relevant and technology-enhanced curriculaContribute to collaborative projects relevant to discipline-based teaching practicesProvide academic counselling, mentoring and advice to studentsUndertake course coordination role and efficiently manage associated resourcesProvide leadership to other staff within the teaching teamActively raise the profile of the discipline within the University and the external communityDemonstrate commitment to community engagement.Undertake a variety of activities to ensure ongoing improvement in teaching practiceContribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning and/or professional practice in the disciplineEnrolment and successful completion of a course/program to develop teaching skills.Other duties as identified by the Line Manager / SupervisorComply with policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct.Authority to commit resources of UNDA in line with the Operational Delegations of Authority.Qualifications, skills & experiencePhD or a fellowship of the College or with equivalent professional experience.
