As a Lecturer (Education Focused), you are expected to carry out professional activities that contribute significantly to achieving the teaching and service missions of the School of Built Environment and the Program of Landscape Architecture.
We are tackling pressing environmental and societal challenges such as biodiversity loss, human-induced climate change, and spatial inequality prevalent in many cities globally.
Candidates with knowledge and experience in urban ecology, designing for climate change, the material impacts of climate change, and the skills to assess climate change and landscape performance are encouraged.
Accountabilities: Demonstrate and continuously develop a well-defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning and improves teaching and student experience. Initiate the development of emerging pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning with the support of more senior academics, including the development of applied methodologies for climate positive design and improved landscape performance outcomes (socially, environmentally, and economically). Coordinate courses and manage course administration such as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance. Assess student learning achievements and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy. Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and deliver minimum professional accreditation requirements as determined by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. Demonstrate excellent team skills by making a positive contribution to the Landscape Architecture Program and School/Faculty committees as required. Skills and Experience: #J-18808-Ljbffr
