About the role
The School of Arts & Sciences offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Counselling.
We are seeking an academically qualified candidate with experience in tertiary education and ongoing engagements with Counselling organisations and accrediting bodies to join the School on our Sydney campus.
The appointee will deliver courses and contribute to research in the discipline area within a full-time loading, although we are happy to consider part-time arrangements for suitable candidates.
Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and other classes as relevant.Initiate and develop course and program material informed by contemporary developments in Counselling.Conduct research and supervise honours or postgraduate research projects.Undertake course coordination and develop program material with appropriate advice from and support of more senior staff.Undertake marking, assessment, and moderation.Undertake consultation with students.Undertake a range of administrative functions related to the courses in which the academic teaches.Qualifications, skills & experience
A PhD or Research Masters qualification in CounsellingExperience in teaching in Counselling or related disciplines at the tertiary level, with a preference for Course (subject) coordinationProfessional Experience in Counselling and/or related fields.How to applyPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
