About the RoleAre you passionate about empowering communities and supporting the next generation of community service professionals? TAFE SA is looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our Aboriginal Access Centre as a Lecturer in Community Services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of skills in community services, particularly within Aboriginal communities, at our Noarlunga Campus. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging lectures and training sessions with a focus on community services. Support Aboriginal students and communities, understanding and addressing the unique challenges they face in education and employment. Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance program delivery and outcomes. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and evolving environment. What we are looking for: A minimum of 5 years of industry or teaching experience within the community services sector - working with Aboriginal students/ communities. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or a diploma/ higher-level qualification in adult education. Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary, adaptable work environment. Proficient in using various IT systems and programs, including Microsoft Office, e-learning platforms, student management systems, Microsoft Teams, and social media. Strong knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture, including the barriers faced by Aboriginal people in education and employment, with experience working with Aboriginal communities. Special ConditionsThe successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS). Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential. Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required. May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA. A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential.
