About the Role   An excellent opportunity has become available to join the Department of Business Technology and Entrepreneurship as our new Lecturer, Business Analytics and Information Systems.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to prepare, deliver and facilitate classes and assess students in the Information Systems discipline in key areas such as Business/Data Analytics, Business Analysis, Digital Transformation, AI and Cloud applications, and Cybersecurity, both on campus and online.
As part of your role, you will also make a significant contribution to the initiation and development of academic programs, working with the academic team in the development of program change and innovation.
You will also be expected to mentor and counsel students on academic matters and supervise graduate researchers.
A contribution to the School's research output, income and impact is expected.
You will assume administrative tasks associated with normal academic duties and will also contribute to School management and administration generally.
You will be expected to participate in activities that foster and build further on existing links with government, business, communities and professions both in Australia and internationally.
About You  To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:  Experience in undertaking teaching, associated administrative duties, coordination and curriculum development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including delivery or potential for delivery to industry partners.
In particular, strong teaching outcomes in Business Analytics and Information Systems with demonstrated excellent quality of teaching scores.
Demonstrated excellence in and commitment to innovative education, including blended learning formats, online teaching and the use of case studies, role-plays and/or simulations in the learning environment.
Demonstrated ability, or potential, to publish in quality ABDC ranked journals, and to attract research funding from sources external to the university or to contribute to funded research projects.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to fostering and building a positive culture in the Department, School and University, aligned with Swinburne's Behaviours.
Qualifications A doctoral qualification in Business Analytics/Information Systems or a related field, with a track record of quality academic publications, preferably with a focus in one or more of the knowledge areas Business/Data Analytics, AI and Cloud applications, and/or Cybersecurity.
