(Level B) $111,031 – $131,335 salary scale per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.
Fixed term position until April 2027
The School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences is seeking an outstanding individual, passionate about teaching and research, to contribute to the teaching and research programs in the rapidly growing Discipline of Computer Science. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of courses at all levels of the Computer Science curriculum with an emphasis. You will be expected to be an active and productive researcher, with specialisation in the fields of Cyber Security, Optimisation, Data Science, and/or Software Engineering. You will join a large team of committed educators and researchers engaged in education, research, and industry collaboration across a broad spectrum of computer science specialisations.
To be successful you will need:
PhD in computer science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent qualification and experience
Demonstrated research ability to support the School's research in Cyber Security.
A strong track record of publications in high-quality scientific journals or other dissemination venues in Cyber Security. Inter-disciplinary research will be well regarded.
Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement & carry out administrative duties effectively and efficiently, as directed by the Head of School
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with students and staff & work in a highly collaborative team environment
Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the school community
