The Australian Institute of Maintenance Engineering (AIME) is a well-established organization in WA training with an amazing future ahead. This position has become available due to unprecedented growth at our brand-new Cockburn Central Campus.
We're looking for an experienced mentor/trainer with strong industry connections in the automotive and engineering trades to join our positive and inclusive team. The RTO seeks to prepare our students for a future in the trade and mining industry.
We are looking for the right attitude in the first instance. Additionally, you may be:
A Tradesperson with a passion for teaching/mentoring.A current lecturer.Possessing a suitable qualification in the automotive or engineering fields.Holding a Cert IV in Training and Assessing (or willing to obtain one).Driven to help students learn, develop, and boost their skills for employment and/or career progression.The courses you will be teaching include Certificate II in Automotive and Certificate I through to Certificate III in Engineering, delivered to job seekers and youth.

Key Experience / Knowledge: Education Industry Experience (advantageous).Experience teaching Job Seekers and/or Youth at Risk.Experience in coaching/mentoring trade personnel in their specialist fields (preferred, but not essential).Mechanical trade or Engineering Industry Experience and qualification (Cert III or above).Knowledge of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) criteria (advantageous).Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team member.Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing circumstances.This role may suit someone from the automotive or mechanical industry looking to take the next step in their career. It is also suitable for current lecturers in this field who want to join a private RTO to unleash their true potential.
