About the Role
The primary role of a TAFE SA Advanced Building Studies Lecturer is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives.
Lecturers may also be involved in the provision of consultancy services to industry/community clients.
TAFE SA is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and have substantial industry experience in Building and Construction, with up-to-date knowledge in these areas.
This role involves guiding students through key areas such as construction management, building codes, legal compliance, and site supervision.
Other requirements:
Completion of TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and assessment or currently working towards completion.Certificate IV in Building and Construction or equivalent.Proven experience in one or more of the following areas:Application of building codes and structural principlesLegals and contracts associated with construction workBuilding Site supervision and managementFinance and risk managementStrong knowledge of NCC, WHS regulations, and compliance documentation.If you're ready to inspire the next generation of building and construction professionals, we'd love to hear from you!

The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential.Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA.A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential.Eligible to work in AustraliaPlease refer to the Role Description for all Special Conditions.
