Join SCEI-HE as a Learning and Teaching Facilitator to enhance the quality of education delivery and academic resource management. This role combines teaching, supporting students and staff, and managing the institute's academic resources, including the library and e-learning platforms. You'll contribute to student success, staff development, and the overall academic experience at SCEI-HE. The incumbent will be required to fulfil all responsibilities of the role of unit lecturer (0.2 FTE). The position must ensure all documentation regarding the student learning support and teaching staff professional development support is handled in an efficient and confidential manner.
Responsibilities & Duties Deliver at least one unit per semester and provide tailored learning support through consultations, workshops, and embedded sessions.Develop and maintain repositories of learning and language resources for students and professional development materials for teaching staff.Plan and facilitate professional development for staff and mentor new and existing teaching staff.Monitor and support at-risk students, addressing barriers such as disability, mental health, or personal challenges.Collaborate with the Academic Director, Course Coordinators, and Student Support teams to enhance academic progress and student outcomes.Oversee the institute's library and academic resources, ensuring accessibility, compliance with intellectual property and copyright policies, and adequacy for study, research, and scholarly activities.Manage the institute's e-learning platform and support the digital literacy of students and staff.Liaise with external providers, including book sellers, library system providers, and third-party online platforms.Promote ethical research practices and provide related training to staff and students.Perform administrative duties relevant to the student life cycle, including pre-enrolment, enrolment, and graduation phases.Academic and Trades Qualifications Master's degree or higher in education or related field.Experience within the Higher Education sector.Work Experience & Skills Significant experience in a student learning support capacity, including experience with international students.Experience in teaching staff support capacity.Experience in teaching.Computer literacy and typing skills.Experience handling confidential documentation and information.Your application will include the following questions:
