Location Profile Frankston Primary School was established in 1874 and currently has an enrolment of 253 students. The school is adjacent to the Frankston Business District, providing convenient access to many community services conducive to authentic educational opportunities.
The school commenced a new School Strategic Plan this year, focusing on improving student learning outcomes in Literacy, particularly in Writing and Mathematics, and developing teacher practice to enhance learning outcomes. Role Monday to Friday 9am until 3.30pm
An education support class position will perform tasks in accordance with guidelines and school policy under supervision. This may include coordination of other education support class staff.
An education support class position supports the educational services provided to students but must not include duties of a teacher as defined in the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic).
Specific support tasks to achieve outcomes. Assisting teachers within an educational program. Supervised health and wellbeing support tasks. Technical tasks requiring a sound knowledge of basic technical principles. Responsibilities Provides routine support for teachers. Supports communication between teachers and parents. Addresses immediate behavioral presentations within a classroom setting. Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students. Supports teachers in the coordination of educational programs. Provides medical intervention support to students, with appropriate training. Provides specialized communication support for students and teachers.
