Learning Support Officer – Senior School30.83 hours per week, term time only
Monday – Friday 8.15am – 3.15pm
Limited tenure position (Parental leave replacement)
Commencing 31 January 2025Closing date for applications: Monday 2 December 2024 at 12.00pm About the positionThe Learning Support Officer will work closely and collaboratively with teaching staff to provide support for student learning in classroom, small groups, and one-to-one settings under the direction of the Learning Leader of Lantern.
Work will be predominantly with students that require additional learning support and/or English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD).
We envision a compassionate and professional individual who is experienced and dedicated to working with neurodiverse and other students with specific learning needs (Years 7-12) as they progress through their secondary education.
Relevant theoretical knowledge of specific learning differences (i.e.
Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dysgraphia, Dyslexia) and how they impact learning would be beneficial.
The ability to work with students in both small groups and one-on-one, supporting learning across a range of areas including numeracy, literacy, and EALD is essential.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.
