Domremy College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Learning Support Officer for a temporary contract commencing Term 1, 2025.
The position will involve 57 hours per fortnight.
About the role The role of Learning Support Officer is to assist in the provision of education and pastoral care for students from Years 7 to 12 with a wide range of learning abilities.
The Learning Support Officer works collaboratively with the Leader of Diverse Learning.
As a member of Domremy College, the role requires a commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools, and a willingness to contribute to the faith formation of students.
Key Selection Criteria The successful candidate will be able to:
Demonstrate experience implementing adjustments for students with a range of diverse learning needs to enhance learning growth across all KLAs.Collaboratively and collegially work as a member of the Diverse Learning team.Provide in-class support to students who have a mild to moderate cognitive disability.Collect data and evidence to support NCCD requirements and an understanding of relevant legislation (DDA, DSE).Administer one-on-one and small group interventions to students with a diverse range of learning abilities.Administer a range of standardised assessments.Knowledge of the Quicksmart Program preferred.Maintain school-based data and records upholding confidentiality.Use and integrate technology across a wide range of administrative and curriculum applications into everyday learning and planning.Formal Qualifications Qualifications and/or experience as a Learning Support Officer/Teacher's Aide is essential.You will have attained:
