About the Role We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Learning Support Officers for a full time, fixed term contract position located at our Gilles Plains campus.
This role will focus on support for primary level students.
The Learning Support Officer will work as an integral part of our Inclusive Education Department in a range of classroom and student support activities which contribute to the achievement of literacy and numeracy based outcomes of students in the school.
Responsibilities Provide classroom support to students with diverse learning needs.
Work with classroom teachers to support the development of differentiated learning activities and assessments.
Implement strategies and provide feedback to the Inclusive Education Coordinator and classroom teachers.
Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as necessary.
Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Attend and participate in relevant professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of learning support practices.
Requirements Essential Criteria Certificate III or higher in Education Support or similar.
Experience working with students who have additional learning needs.
A passion for inspiring students to learn.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
Flexibility and an ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms.
