Waverley Christian College is a forward-thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024.
The Learning Enhancement and Program Support (LEAPS) Department provides learning enrichment and support for a wide range of students throughout the College. The team consists of Learning Support Coordinators (LSCs), Learning Support Teachers (LSTs), and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). The department collaborates with parents, teachers, and other specialists to form a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting students and their learning needs.
We currently have a number of roles available, ranging between 3 to 5 days a week (8:00am/8:50am - 3:35pm). You are an ideal candidate if you: Have a minimum of a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or be prepared to study towards one. Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities. Have the ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and other support staff. Have high-level communication and interpersonal skills. Have good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Have excellent problem-solving skills. Enjoy working in a team environment. Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education. Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities. A Working with Children's Check and a police check less than three months old are mandatory prior to being hired. A First Aid Certificate (HLTAD011) and Anaphylaxis Certificate are also required prior to starting in the role.
