Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant (Secondary) to join St Andrews Christian College in Wantirna South. As a key member of the Learning Support department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational development and well-being of our secondary students.
The main responsibilities and tasks of the role include:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with learning difficulties or additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and offer tailored support to ensure student progress.Collaborate with teachers to create inclusive learning environments and adapt materials to meet the diverse needs of students.Support students in developing essential study skills, organisational strategies, and self-confidence.Contribute to the assessment process by providing feedback on student progress and maintaining accurate records of support provided.Establish positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and external agencies to foster a holistic approach to student support.Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in supporting diverse learning needs.This is a Fixed Term - Full Time position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within our supportive educational community.
