ABOUT THE ROLEThe College seeks multiple experienced and qualified Learning Support Assistants.
A combination of full-time and part-time roles are available.
The role will be responsible for providing effective assistance to teachers to enable them to enhance the learning outcomes of their students.
The Learning Support Assistant will work as a member of the Learning Support Team to implement strategies, programs and support that will enable student learning in the secondary school (Years 7 - 12), Primary school (Years K - 6) or a combination of both.
Key Responsibilities Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans for students with additional needsAssist teachers with the development of resources and programs that support students with additional needsAssist with Teaching Resources PreparationParticipate as a member of the Learning Support Team and the College CommunityContribute positively as a member of a team, actively promoting WHS procedures and working collaboratively with College staffKnowledge, Skills and Qualifications Qualifications in Education Support or equivalentExperience in a school setting, including supporting students with a range of physical, social/emotional and cognitive needsPassionate about understanding how students learn and the ability to support the development of classroom environments that meet the needs of all learnersThe capacity to work as a member of a dynamic learning support teamA current Working With Children Clearance (NSW)First Aid QualificationHOW TO APPLY Please provide a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role addressing key responsibilities and knowledge, skills and qualifications outlined in the Position Description.
