Our teachers endorse that we have strong relational trust, and a positive climate for teaching and learning. About the School: Warreen Primary School opened in January 2024. It is a co-educational school that will form part of a wider Truganina North Learning Precinct, which is situated with a secondary school and kindergarten on the same site.  Our school includes an administration and STEAM building, three learning neighbourhoods, and a community hub. Our environmentally sustainable campuses will include outdoor play and recreational areas for all age groups and interests. At Warreen Primary School, our staff are dedicated to student learning and growing the profession, and are expected to work collaboratively with the leadership team to implement a clear instructional framework for teaching and learning that improves student outcomes. You will be expected to deliver on the following: Responsibilities School Improvement: Collaborate with the Principal Class Team to set, monitor and evaluate SSP & AIP Targets. Support implementation of major curriculum initiatives that are supported by data analysis to drive literacy & numeracy improvement across the school. Support implementation, whilst working alongside other Learning Specialists and staff, of major wellbeing initiatives, such as SWPBS, Disability Inclusion, that are supported by data analysis. Lead the implementation of the Instructional Model & FISO Inquiry Cycle in Year level PLCs and whole school learning. Monitor and manage area budgets to ensure teachers and students have adequate resources. Mentor all staff in your team to develop and support exemplary practice for all. Drive a culture of trust, quality relationships and individual and collective accountability. Provide in classroom support to teachers to ensure consistency and exemplary teaching practices. Teaching and Learning The School will have a continual focus on establishing a strong Professional Learning Community culture supported by an inquiry model of investigation. Collaborative planning is central to the delivery of an engaging curriculum. An emphasis on understanding the evidence-based practices and importance of differentiating learning tasks, providing students and parents with effective feedback and structured lesson planning are core expectations. Our leadership team and learning specialists will be pivotal in demonstrating exemplary practice in leading a PLC culture and leading teaching and learning. You will support in the development and review of all major scope and sequence documents, sequences of learning and assessment schedules. You will facilitate professional learning and collegiate support by the building capacity of others, including providing mentoring, modelling, coaching and effective feedback in both 1:1 and group situations.

Positive Climate for Learning The School Wide Positive Behaviour framework is the key pedagogy in setting high learning and behaviour expectations along with promoting inclusion. The School strongly advocates and teaches young people the importance of learning and behaviour routines in order to achieve maximum success at school. Our leadership team will be pivotal in modelling exemplary practices for our social and emotional learning, ensuring tier 1 supports are embedded in all classrooms. Leaders will support in tier 2 and 3 adjustments to allow all students access to learning through a strength based approach.

Who May Apply Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
