ResponsibilitiesLearning Specialist – English and Literacy Leader (Ongoing tenure as a classroom teacher) Overview: The Learning Specialist – English and Literacy Leader will work in collaboration with the College Principal Team, providing direction, guidance, and support to achieve high standards of literacy and English instruction across all learning areas.
Primary Responsibilities: Leadership and Vision Lead the development and implementation of a Whole School Literacy Action Plan aligned with the Science of Reading.
Curriculum Integration and Support Lead and model effective literacy instruction in all curriculum areas.
Data Analysis and Reporting Collect, analyse, and evaluate literacy data to inform interventions and track progress.
Professional Development and Mentorship Lead professional learning programs to upskill staff in high-impact literacy teaching strategies.
Community Engagement and Advocacy Promote the importance of literacy within the college and the broader community.
