In this role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise and advice to design, develop, implement, and evaluate a range of learning initiatives and solutions. You will stay across the latest industry trends and research to inform the design, development, and implementation of contemporary learning programs and solutions.Role responsibilities As an AE5 Learning Practitioner your duties may include:Contributing to the development of strategic learning solutions that embed the qualities and practices required of ASIO's people to support a strong leadership culture.Collaborating with key stakeholders to understand learning capability needs and providing expert advice on best-practice L&D solutions to enhance organisational capability.Supporting the design, development, and facilitation of evidence-based learning strategies and solutions that align with ASIO's Learning and Development Strategy.Contributing to project administration.Managing learning and development requests received through the Learning Advisory Centre, ensuring prompt and effective responses.Contributing to the design and development of curriculum and program content, ensuring alignment with best practice and workplace needs.Providing administrative assistance to the Assistant Director, Learning Advisor Centre, as required.As an AE6 Learning Practitioner your duties may include:Contributing to the development of strategic learning solutions that embed the qualities and practices required of ASIO's people to support a strong leadership culture.Partnering with key stakeholders to understand learning capability needs and providing expert advice on best-practice L&D solutions to drive organisational capability.Designing, developing, and facilitating comprehensive learning strategies, programs, and solutions that align with ASIO's Learning and Development Strategy.Managing and prioritising learning and development projects throughout their lifecycle, from conception to completion.Managing contracts with external providers.Contributing to reporting obligations.Supporting the Assistant Director, Learning Advisor Centre, as required.What you will bringWe invite applications from people with the following attributes:Strong interpersonal, communication, and liaison skills, combined with a collaborative style of working that enables effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in analysing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating adult education learning solutions and programs that meet organisational needs.An innovative and adaptive mindset, with a willingness to leverage data-driven insights to inform and enhance learning and development initiatives.A high level of self-motivation, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and responsibilities, and maintain a strong work ethic and sense of accountability.Strong facilitation, consultation, and influencing skills, with the ability to apply strategic thinking to gain agreement, explore alternatives, and deliver effective learning solutions that meet stakeholder needs.A capacity for adaptability and flexibility, enabling effective response to changing priorities, technologies, and learning preferences, while maintaining a positive and resilient attitude.A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of learning and development, and applying this knowledge to inform practice.The ability to think creatively, challenge assumptions, and analyse complex information to support the design and delivery of innovative learning and development programs and initiatives.A willingness to provide support and collaborate with other areas within the section as required, contributing to a culture of teamwork and shared responsibility.Demonstrated experience in working closely with senior leadership to align Organisational Development (OD) and learning initiatives with business objectives is highly desirable but not essential.Demonstrated experience leading the development and implementation of OD strategies that support business transformation, cultural change, and organisational effectiveness is highly desirable but not essential.What we offer you ASIO provides a number of benefits to its staff including:A competitive salary, including a 7.5 per cent allowance for maintaining a TOP SECRET-Privileged Access security clearance.Employer superannuation contributions of 15.4 per cent.A variety of leave options, in addition to the standard 4 weeks annual leave to ensure your work-life balance.Flexible working arrangements to assist you to maintain your work-life balance.
