About the Role The Learning Officer role will be an office-based position located in either Cairns or Townsville with travel to additional sites as required.
Due to the nature of the role we do not offer work from home options.
As a Learning and Development Officer, you will play a crucial role in the organisation's talent development and growth strategy.
Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of high-level capabilities that are essential to fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the company.
Facilitate all required training and coaching, specifically for your allocated area; on technical training – regulatory, compliance and Safe Places specific i.e.
induction programs, refreshers soft skills – coaching, leadership, communication.Facilitate and coordinate the release of learning solutions in a professional clear and consistent approach aimed at improving leadership, behaviours, and performance.Work closely with your area and L&D Manager to identify learning needs and gaps in knowledge among staff members and develop targeted training interventions that align to our L&D Governance requirements.Develop and design a range of training resources for any new Safe Places project which involves learning.Collaborate with other areas of the organisation to align learning with the strategy to deliver a seamless service.Regularly liaise with the RTO partner and their trainers to actively achieve high completion results for Safe Places students who may be currently enrolled in a qualification.About You Our Learning Officer will bring genuine passion to make a difference in the lives of young people and our communities, holding certain attributes and demonstrated knowledge and experience.
Hold a Diploma or higher-level qualification in a Community Service field.Hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or be willing to obtain.Be values based, known for your professionalism, integrity and trusted advice.Be an excellent communicator and ability to build strong partnerships.Confidently facilitate a workshop and utilise a variety of learning methods to support the transfer of learning.Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal, written and listening) with the ability to confidently communicate and interact with all team members to quickly build rapport with stakeholders.Meet deadlines whilst applying strong prioritisation skills to ensure the attention is on L&D interventions that impact the business in the short-term and long-term.Enthusiasm and drive for learning, completing tasks with excellence.Candidates must be eligible to live and work in Australia, hold an unrestricted drivers licence, and must be willing to undergo state specific checks, including eligibility to work with Children and Qualifications.
