Job Overview We are seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team.
You will be supporting professionals across the curriculum, covering lessons for PPA cover or delivering 1:1 or group interventions.
Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver learning to individuals, small groups and/or classesModify and adapt activities to advance pupils' learning as necessary within agreed systems of supervisionContribute to high quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and supporting methodsSupport pupils' learning in lessons including resourcing and implementing differentiationAssess, record and report on development, progress and attainment and use this knowledge and understanding to extend and challenge pupils' learningProvide academic and pastoral support to pupils in accordance with agreed proceduresCreate an outstanding pupil experience which leads to progressionLead the learning in scheduled lessonsCover lessons in the event of teacher absenceLead 1:1 and group interventionsSupport the learning across the whole schoolSupport activities relating to employability, work experience and volunteeringMark pupils' work and internal examinations and assessmentsSupervise pupils' break and lunchtimes, including leading activitiesSupport enrichment activities, including trips and visitsComplete general administration relevant to the role, including paperwork in relation to pupil disciplinary matters, pupil profile and progress updatesContribute to reports written for both parents and local authorities, including providing timely feedback to the SENDCo for Annual Review meetingsAttend staff development events and weekly staff meetingsUndertake and meet any relevant CPD requirementsLiaise with our therapy team and other specialists to ensure enhanced provision is in place at all timesLiaise with parents/carersEqual Opportunities The White House School will seek to ensure that all existing and potential employees and pupils are given equal opportunities for employment and education.
