Job Overview
We are seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will be supporting professionals across the curriculum, covering lessons for PPA cover or delivering 1:1 or group interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver learning to individuals, small groups and/or classes Modify and adapt activities to advance pupils' learning as necessary within agreed systems of supervision Contribute to high quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and supporting methods Support pupils' learning in lessons including resourcing and implementing differentiation Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment and use this knowledge and understanding to extend and challenge pupils' learning Provide academic and pastoral support to pupils in accordance with agreed procedures Create an outstanding pupil experience which leads to progression Lead the learning in scheduled lessons Cover lessons in the event of teacher absence Lead 1:1 and group interventions Support the learning across the whole school Support activities relating to employability, work experience and volunteering Mark pupils' work and internal examinations and assessments Supervise pupils' break and lunchtimes, including leading activities Support enrichment activities, including trips and visits Complete general administration relevant to the role, including paperwork in relation to pupil disciplinary matters, pupil profile and progress updates Contribute to reports written for both parents and local authorities, including providing timely feedback to the SENDCo for Annual Review meetings Attend staff development events and weekly staff meetings Undertake and meet any relevant CPD requirements Liaise with our therapy team and other specialists to ensure enhanced provision is in place at all times Liaise with parents/carers Equal Opportunities
