Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican day school for boys from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a passionate Learning Enhancement Teacher to join our Middle and Senior School teams, in a progressive, supportive and well-resourced educational environment.
You will support students with diverse learning needs by providing targeted interventions and collaborating with teachers to ensure engagement and progress. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inclusive education, skilled in differentiation, and able to create an inclusive learning environment for all abilities.
This is a part-time 0.6 FTE, permanent role, commencing in Term 1, 2025.
ABOUT YOU
You are an outstanding learning enhancement teacher who can lead by example, model exceptional practice, and support the Head of Learning Enhancement. You are able to demonstrate an understanding of the educational, social, and emotional needs of children with learning disabilities and other specific learning needs. A genuine passion for meeting the educational needs of middle and senior school students, along with a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development is also required.
You will also have:
Current VIT registration
Relevant qualification in Special Needs/ Learning Support (desirable)
Demonstrated experience working effectively in a similar role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A passion for supporting students with learning challenges as well as a caring and enthusiastic nature.
A reliable and flexible approach.
A capacity and desire to develop positive professional relationships with students with special needs.
Outstanding planning and organisational skills coupled with adaptability to deal with the unexpected.
