About the role The Learning Enhancement Teacher – Literacy (Junior School) is responsible for the effective delivery of teaching programs predominantly focusing on English. The role works closely with the Head of Junior School and Deputy Head of Junior School as part of the Junior School Learning Enhancement team. This also includes working with the Head of Learning Enhancement and the Director of Student Wellbeing to ensure a holistic approach is taken to the curriculum and the strategic objectives of the School are met. In addition to specified teaching duties, all teachers are expected to provide wellbeing support to the students and to be actively involved in curriculum development.
This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) ongoing position commencing Semester 1, 2025.
What you bring Current VIT registration.Current curriculum knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those requiring additional support, enrichment, and/or extension.Demonstrated understanding of the need to address the academic, social and emotional needs of the students.Exceptional verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.Additional Information Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School has a zero tolerance policy for child abuse and is committed to promoting child safety, children's wellbeing and protecting children from abuse.
