A wonderful opportunity has opened up at St Damian's Primary School for someone who is a highly skilled teacher with relevant qualifications and experience as a Learning Diversity Leader.
We are looking for someone to work with our highly professional and committed team of staff to support our students identified with additional needs.
This position will commence at the beginning of Term One 2025 and is for 4 days (0.8) per week (days and time fraction negotiable).
The successful applicant will be able to:
be open to ongoing learning and developmentbe enthusiastic, motivated and team orientatedunderstand the needs of students with additional or special needs and work with teachers, Learning Support Officers and parents to ensure their learning needs are metorganise and run PSG meetingsassist teachers with programming to meet the needs of students through developing PLPs and other documentationliaise with various agencies including MACS staff to support families and studentswork with teachers to ensure documentation is relevant to NCCD funding requirementscreate rosters for Learning Support Officers to ensure students are supported adequatelyliaise with Learning Support Officers and support them in their work with studentscommit to the philosophy of restorative practicepossess a sound knowledge and understanding of current thinking and research into curriculum, pedagogy and the Victorian Curriculumdemonstrate a willingness to support our Catholic school visionSpecial Requirements Applicants must have: current VIT Registrationa commitment to the ethos of Catholic education.relevant Special Education Qualification would be an advantagePlease send applications addressed to The Principal via email to: ****** Please include the name and contact details including mobile number of 3 referees, one of whom must be the most current Principal employer.
