We are a co-educational secondary school from Years 7-12 belonging to the Diocese of Darwin. With enrolment of approximately 600 students, the College supports a number of students with additional needs. A chief priority of the school is to ensure that these students are known and well cared for.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Learning Diversity Leader is a middle leadership role responsible for supporting the Inclusion Support Department by developing Education Adjustment Plans (EAPs) for students within a particular cohort. This includes supporting teachers with the appropriate collection of evidence, monitoring, reporting, and record keeping for NCCD purposes. Learning Diversity Leaders work with students, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents/guardians, and occasionally Catholic Education Northern Territory (CENT) and other supporting outside agencies to ensure that the needs of all students under the Inclusion Support team are being met to the best of the College's ability.Learning Diversity Leaders liaise with Leaders of Learning, Head of House, and Learning Mentor and Coach to support the implementation of quality differentiated teaching practices. Year Level Learning Diversity Leaders report to the Leader of Inclusion Support.QUALIFICATIONS / ACCREDITATIONSQualifications of a four-year trained teacherTRB AccreditationCurrent NT Ochre Card - Working With Children Check (WWCC)DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster level / commitment to enrol in further educationAccreditation to teach in a Catholic schoolKEY RESPONSIBILITIESGuided by Gospel values, the leader is responsible for the following:Work with teaching and non-teaching staff to nurture a strength-based approach to inclusion needs.Work with the Data Informed Practitioner to analyse data and implement strategies for improvement for students with inclusion needs.Support teachers in evidence collection, monitoring and record-keeping of data required for NCCD collection.Collaborate with Leader of Inclusion Support to upskill staff by increasing knowledge and building capacity of quality differentiated learning.Liaise with the Learning Mentor and Coach to support the implementation of high impact teaching strategies.Work with students, teachers, and parents to create and implement appropriate Educational Adjustment Plans (EAPs) for a particular cohort of students who are funded at supplementary and substantial NCCD level.Any other duties as directed by the Principal.Please send a current resume and the names and contacts of three referees to the Office Manager: ******
