This is a unique opportunity based at our Northern Operations (NOPs) which includes our Chandala Processing Plant & the Cooljarloo Mine Site.
Our Chandala Processing Plant is located near Muchea, 70km north of the CBD.
The location offers a range of lifestyle options including the opportunity to reside in coastal towns such as Burns Beach, Iluka and Mindarie which are an easy 30-minute drive.
Our Cooljarloo mine site is located near Cataby, 190km north of the CBD.
When you are required to go to Cooljarloo, you can stay in our new camp-based accommodation nearby.
Reporting into the Learning & Development Business Partner you will be responsible for Maintenance teams L&D activities, overseeing the assessment of site capabilities, identifying competency gaps, and working proactively with supervisors to address them.
This role will also be responsible for planning, organising and implementing L&D programs, both at a regional and local level.

Your key responsibilities will be: Training needs Analysis Identifying the training needs of employees for your area, this involves understanding critical requirements, skills gaps, emerging training requirements.
End to end responsibility for coordination, completion and administration of training requirements relevant to the area.
Training Programs Keeps abreast with emerging trends in analysis, design and delivery methods being practiced externally.
Engages with Subject Matter Experts to ensure learning content and concepts are correct.
Assist with the design and development of blended learning programs, including online, utilising both internal and external experts.
Training delivery and coordination Planning and scheduling of internal and external training session, workshops and courses.
Coordinating logistics such as training venues, arranging equipment, materials and managing training schedules.
Delivering effective blended learning resources and supporting materials to meet agreed objectives.
Evaluation and Assessment Gather analysis and feedback on learning programs, checking for knowledge transfer and compliance.
Invite feedback from facilitators and learners, adjusting programs where appropriate.
Record Keeping Maintain accurate records of training activities including attendance, certification, competencies and licenses.
Ensuring that the records are updated in the Company LMS Compliance Provides advice on legislative requirements, Australian and industry standards and industry best practice in relation to training.
Maintains and executes competency matrices to align training requirements with business strategy Provide regular reports to supervision on compliance status and progress of training programs, level progression and outcomes.
To be successful in your application, you will ideally possess: Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (advantageous) Minimum of 6+ years in an operational training and development role in the Resource Industry or similar.
In depth Technical training knowledge of maintenance and electrical disciplines (desirable) HRWL (desirable) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft tools.
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
Proficiency in creating training materials and using training tools and platforms.
Ability to adapt training methods to different learning styles and audiences.
