Learning, Development, and Wellbeing EducatorBidgerdii Community Health Service – Rockhampton QLDThe Rockhampton Children and Family Centre provides comprehensive, locally responsive and connected services that support child and parent/carer wellbeing, enhance positive child learning and development, and build parenting capacity.About the RoleThe purpose of the Learning, Development, and Well-being Educator is to provide support to the Learning, Development, and Well-being Officer in delivering early learning, development, and well-being programs located at the Rockhampton Children and Family Centre and ensure education outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in our community.As the Learning, Development, and Well-being Educator, you will be an active member of a team that provides high-quality early childhood education. You will support children in our community in building the necessary skills to ensure a smooth transition to school.To meet this outcome, you will be required to:Assist in planning and delivering educational programs that reflect each child's knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities, and interests and the entire group.Ensure the environment is inclusive, promoting competence, independence, and learning for all children.Work closely with families to support access to early childhood programs, family support, and health services that best match their child's and family's needs.Encourage parental involvement in all aspects of their child's learning and development.Promote and encourage parents/carers to participate in play-based activities which promote child development.Follow up client referrals to external and internal agencies.Support the Connected Beginnings team in delivering culturally appropriate learning and development programs for our first nations children.Complete development screenings & assessments as required – training will be provided.This is an Indigenous – identified position.
