About the Role The Learning Commons Coordinator is a member of the Curriculum Leadership Team and responsible to the Principal through the Assistant Principal Academic Care for the leadership of their team, in accordance with College policies. They will lead and supervise a team of committed Learning Commons Teachers and will work in collaboration to promote resources, literacy and numeracy initiatives, and technology integration. The Coordinator will also develop a strategic plan for the implementation of library services and ICT to support teaching and learning at the College.
Key Responsibilities Lead and support the implementation of CECG's Catalyst Program and High Impact Teaching Practices.Manage and lead a team of Learning Commons Teachers.Oversee the development of a dynamic curriculum in line with national and state requirements.Ensure courses cater for a range of individual needs and learning styles.Develop effective relationships with community members – students, staff, and parents.Ensure effective administrative processes in the department.Qualifications Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registrations.Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.Selection Criteria A comprehensive understanding of Catalyst initiatives and High Impact Teaching Practices.A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.Demonstrated capability to coordinate a teaching team effectively.Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.The ability to exercise sound judgment, including dealing with confidential matters.Other Eligibility Criteria You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.Application Process Applicants are required to submit a current resume and a cover letter that addresses the selection criteria as outlined in the Position Description.
