Learning Coach - Teaching & Learning (Years P-6) Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located at Everton Hills in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane. The College was established by the Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation in 1984 to provide quality Christian education to the children of the community.
Prince of Peace Lutheran College offers classes on two sites from Kindergarten to Year 12 with approximately 850 students enrolled. The Junior Campus (K-6) is located at Rogers Parade West. The Middle & Senior Campus, 1 km away at Henderson Road, was opened in July 2009 and is home to Years 7-12.
The College continues to grow its reputation as a flourishing environment for children and young people to receive a high-quality education. This FTE 0.8 and 0.2 Teaching (approximately) role with generous working conditions is available for commencement in January 2025. The preferred applicant will have expertise in curriculum and pedagogy with a futuristic approach and desire to inspire, motivate and be passionate about the education of young people. Only applicants who address the selection criteria (below) will be considered: Previous work in a similar role highly regarded This role reports to the Head of College and Head of Junior Campus and will: Shape contemporary learning & industry connection to create enriching pathways for our young people Keep abreast of educational research and trends, and inform teachers of curriculum developments Liaise with the Deputy and Head of Junior Campus to identify opportunities and curriculum initiatives across year levels Ensure observation and coaching is promoted throughout the College and based on the AITSL standards Actively mentor staff in pedagogy and instruction and provide appropriate professional development in this area Oversight and management of the College Learning Management System (i.e SEQTA) including monitoring of staff engagement ensuring assessment and feedback is up to date and easy to access Use and understanding of the QCCA Planning App is preferable for monitoring the Whole School Curriculum Plan Collaborate with Learning Enrichment Coordinator to oversee testing programs such as the NAPLAN and PAT - Testing Work collaboratively with the Head of Junior Campus and implement curriculum initiatives and current educational directions with staff, empowering teachers to be curriculum designers and risk takers Lead the selection and implementation of the College agreed pedagogical framework(s) in the Junior Campus in conjunction with the Deputy and Head of Junior Campus Assume the role of Acting Head of Junior Campus as required Be an active member of a Christian Church Collaborate to innovate and develop programs for Gifted and Talented students This role includes one day teaching in an Upper Primary classroom and will include times of classroom teaching to cover pre-arranged meetings as directed by Head/Deputy Head of Campus.
