The Role We are seeking dynamic and caring Learning Assistants to join our Learning Strategies Team at the Wheelers Hill Junior Campus. This role reports into the Head of Learning Strategies.
We have two Learning Assistant positions available:
one 12-month fixed-term part time contract – 4.5 hours/day (daily work hours to be confirmed in line with the final 2025 whole school timetable).Both roles are term-time only (39 weeks per year), with work hours based on student needs and consultation with the Head of Learning Strategies. You will join a supportive team, working under the direction of classroom teachers on a daily basis to assist students with specific learning needs. As a valued team member, you will make a positive impact on students' experiences and contribute to our school community.
Key Duties Work collaboratively with teachers and other assistants in the development and implementation of a student-centred educational programme.Use strategies based on knowledge of students' physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning.Maintain daily written documentation on relevant behaviour and learning as required.Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.Skills and Experience Good communication and interpersonal skills.Previous experience in a school-based setting would be advantageous.Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent would be desirable.Experience supporting high needs students through the curriculum.Current or be willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check.Why Caulfield Grammar School Our culture is defined by the five values: Pursuing Excellence, Inspiring Creativity, Thriving Together, Embracing Diversity, and Living Wholeheartedly.
