The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to take charge of our Learning and Development, Organisational Development and Change function.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment, who is able to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and takes accountability for following through to ensure the desired impact of our initiatives are achieved. Key Outcomes and Accountabilities Lead the learning and organisational development team, supporting engagement, performance, and the team's development to enhance delivery.Oversee the learning and organisational development team's service delivery to internal customers by continuing to implement the ongoing planned projects and the delivery of specific initiatives aligned to the QBCC strategic plan, the learning and organisational 12-month plan, and critical initiatives aligned to our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging action plan and Innovate RAP.Develop senior leader briefings, including but not limited to presentation and dashboard reports, outlining key trends, measures of success and plans for all L&OD programs and initiatives. Be accountable for the development of regular committee papers, complete training briefs, design and delivery of training sessions and workshops, developing, implementing, and reviewing the learning and development calendar, services, budget (including the Studies Assistance and Research Scheme (SARAS). Lead and support the internal Leadership Development Partner to embed ongoing leadership development programs aligned to the complex capability framework specific to QBCC.Lead QBCC's employee engagement and culture surveys throughout the year to increase employee satisfaction and performance. Coordinate organisational-wide responses to the survey outcomes through innovations and embedding changes in the ways of work for all team members at QBCC.Work collaboratively and engage with the learning and organisational development team and internal stakeholders to lead the end-to-end project management and implementation of organisational development strategies and programs relating to organisational culture, performance development and management, and work towards increasing engagement through leadership capability and team member development across the organisation to meet ongoing and changing organisational needs.Candidate Attributes Proven track record in leading and managing an internal learning and organisational development team enhancing the team connection to the organisation, building team capability and motivating team members to achieve.Proven track record in leading the delivery of learning and organisational development services utilising internal and external providers for routine and bespoke solutions, developing, and managing a training delivery calendar that meets organisational needs and ensuring effective use of resources.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other areas in HR, supporting the cohesive delivery of people and culture outcomes and building business understanding through strong relationships with internal customers.Proven track record of building positive relationships and providing advice to stakeholders and internal customers which creates the opportunity to influence positive outcomes which benefit capability of people in the organisation.How to apply Please ensure you read the attached position description which contains further details and the candidate information pack.
