Learning and Development Manager - InstructorWilliamtown NSWThe key duties of the position include:The RoleAs an Instructor at the Australian Defence Force Warfare Training Centre, you will be responsible to prepare, update and deliver instructional lessons, exercises, tutorials, demonstrations and facilitate syndicate discussions for designated courses.You will be required to perform duties as the Lead Instructor for designated courses, as well as provide advice, mentor and facilitate the development of new instructional staff while also conducting evaluations of instructors.Additionally, perform the duties as Course Manager of designated courses, which includes liaison with external agencies to coordinate externally sponsored courses, prepare, update and deliver instructional lessons, exercises, tutorials and demonstrations (such as war game type activities) and facilitate syndicate discussions. These Mobile Training Team (MTT) courses may be conducted in other domestic locations or internationally.About our TeamThe Australian Defence Force Warfare Training Centre (ADFWTC) conducts joint individual training for Australian Defence Force, Department of Defence and other Government agencies and selected international military personnel.The ADFWTC contributes to the preparation of staff for operational joint headquarters and specialist joint warfare roles to sustain the force in being, and develop the future force.Our Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for this position will have previous military service with instructional experience, postgraduate academic qualifications in a field relevant to the Australian Defence Force Warfare Training Centre, or relevant experience. They will have an awareness of the Defence Joint Professional Military Education framework, joint planning doctrine and experience in operations, management and policy development roles.A desirable aspect would be to have recent and relevant experience in the Department of Defence (or other Relevant Australian Government agency) to bring a breadth of experience to facilitate learning for mid-career military officers and Australian Public Servants.Security Clearance:Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Negative Vetting Level 1".
