The Australian Safety & Training Alliance (ASTA) is one of Australia's leading integrated safety consulting and training organisations. We operate across the majority of Queensland with the head office in Bundaberg.As a registered training organisation (RTO), ASTA is currently seeking a Learning and Development Manager to meet our increasing client needs. The position can be based in our Bundaberg offices.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the management of training staff, and delivery and facilitation of training and assessment activities relating to our current scope. Areas include but are not limited to:
Confined Space and Work at HeightsStandard 11 Mine InductionFirst Aid, CPRSafety RepresentativesTraffic Control, Traffic ManagementResponsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Management of ASTA Trainers and Assessors, providing training & assessment, and reviewing assessment instruments.Providing management support to the General Manager.Managing the physical resources required for the delivery of the programs.Completing documentation to support delivery and assessment practices, such as the development of session plans, resources, and assessment documents prior to and at the completion of training.Traveling to various locations.Coordinating the completion of professional development activities in accordance with development plans and organisational requirements.Participating in moderation and validation activities as required.The following required experience/qualifications will be highly regarded: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122).Five years of recent and relevant experience related to competency-based education & training and National Training Packages.Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering training programs and courses.Well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Knowledge and understanding of AQTF standards, legislation, and policies specific to RTO operations.The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, conscientious self-starter with the ability to develop positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
