RoleLearning Alliance Leader Learning Alliance Leaders play a key role in the successful implementation of Career Start, a key policy initiative designed to improve the support provided to graduate teachers.
As a Career Start Learning Alliance Leader (LAL) you will be a specialist in mentoring and capability building. You will support schools to effectively induct graduate teachers into the profession.
ResponsibilitiesCapability building Support school leaders and mentor teachers to effectively induct graduate teachersVisit schools to provide additional support/resources for graduate teacher inductionFacilitate professional learning workshops to graduate teachers and their mentorsLead the delivery of a Learning Alliance, including preparing and facilitating Alliance meetingsBuild the capability of mentor teachers to effectively mentor and support graduate teachersBuild the capability of graduate teachers' professional practice and wellbeingStakeholder communication and engagement Build effective relationships with schools to initiate and implement the Career Start programSupport and foster change within an AreaCollaborate with other Central, Regional and Area staff to support schoolsSpecialisation - Planning for the learning and development system Use project management skills to support program deliveryMaintain accurate records, and monitor and report on program deliveryCapture and document lessons learned to support continuous improvementAct on opportunities for continuous improvementProblem solve effectively to maximise the program's impactWho May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
