Learn To Swim Team Leader

About the role As the Learn to Swim Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Learn to Swim Coordinator to ensure the success of our swimming programs.
You'll lead and support instructors, assist with class allocations and staff rostering, and help maintain high-quality teaching standards through performance evaluations.
This role offers variety, including managing squad groups, pool bookings, and other operational needs.
Flexibility is key, as shifts may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Work type: Permanent Full time Classification: Band 4 $69,560.51 - $74,316.04 pa plus super Key responsibilities include: Support and guide Learn to Swim instructors to deliver quality programs.
Assist in program planning to meet customer needs.
Allocate children to appropriate classes and teachers quarterly.
Help with rostering and administrative tasks.
Evaluate teacher performance regularly in collaboration with the Coordinator.
Ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures.
About you To be successful in this role, you will need strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively guide instructors and engage with participants.
A customer-focused mindset and the ability to adapt to evolving program demands are essential, along with comprehensive knowledge of Learn to Swim programs and levels.
Flexibility is also important, as the role requires availability for shifts during mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Additionally, a valid Working with Children Check and a National Police Check is required.
