About the role: Reporting to the Sports Centre Manager, we are seeking to appoint several Learn to Swim Assistants who are enthusiastic team members and are keen to assist with children to develop swimming and water safety.
The swim assistant's responsibilities include assisting with swimming and water safety lessons, and setting up and packing away all swimming aids and equipment.
The Learn to Swim classes are held at our indoor heated pools.
Classes vary from group lessons, casual lessons, to one-on-one private lessons, and our programs are suited to infants up to adults of all ages and abilities, all year round.
Rates of Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour (casual) based on experience.
Junior rates applicable.

About You: Demonstrated experience in communication, teamwork, organisation, time management skills, and attention to detail.
An ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks and learn new skills.
Able to engage and work with a range of stakeholders, particularly young people and their parents.
Ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
Exceptional organisational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritise work and multi-task.
Familiarity with legal obligations relating to child safety including mandatory reporting requirements.
Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card Blue Card, in accordance with 'No Card, No Start law', as per the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
The successful applicants must have the availability to work weekends and varying shift times.
