The Role

This role requires medium to high level of experience in the field and good people skills, able to connect with the team, citizens, and all stakeholders.Responsibilities include: Oversee and deliver programmed works to maintain the Council's parks, gardens, and reserves.Supervise and direct staff in the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of all maintenance activities.Ensure that resources, plant, equipment, and goods are utilized efficiently and effectively.Identify and deliver innovative or improved practices and processes.Ensure that you and your team meet the expectations under the Work Health and Safety Act.You

Qualifications and clearances required for the role:
Certificate 3 in Horticulture or ArboricultureMR Truck LicenceWork Zone Traffic Management CertificateNational Criminal Record (Police) Clearance, with no adverse findings.Department of Human Services (DHS) Working With Children ClearanceExperience as a Team LeaderYou will need to have great time management skills and team leader experience, with the ability to supervise small teams and encourage best practices at all times in the work environment.
