This Leading Teacher will work with the School Improvement Team (SIT) and contribute to the development and delivery of the school's Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) and School Strategic Plan (SSP) goals and outcomes.Strategic Leadership:Leads the development and documentation of curriculum and subject offerings in Year 11 and Year 12 programs in alignment with the Victorian Certificate of Education (including Vocational Major), International Baccalaureate and School Strategic Plan (SSP) Goals.Lead teaching teams to improve VCE, VM & IB student outcomes, through the analysis of data to inform the curriculum planning and implementation of Study Designs.Leads the implementation of the VCAA assessment principles.Leads the development of curriculum and lessons for the Year 11 and Year 12 study periods, including the delivery of careers education, study skills and the capabilities within the Victorian Curriculum 2.0.Responsibilities:Support and guide staff through Unit 3 and 4 Audits.Leads the development of the Auburn Learner Qualities (Critical Thinking and Character) in teaching and learning, and broader year level programs.Oversees course counselling and subject selection policies and processes for students entering Year 11 and Year 12 students.Leads staff to accurately assess and report student unit outcomes (S and N) and provides targeted curriculum support and interventions for students who are at risk.Lead the implementation of the VCE and IB practice exams, preparation periods and final external examinations.Collaborate with the Assistant Principal (Teaching and Learning) to ensure that the VCE Vocational Major and ATAR program is compliant with VCAA policies and processes.Promotion of Senior School programs throughout the school and local community.Improved VCE results through the opportunity for professional learning teams to reflect on areas of improvement in student outcomes and teacher practice.Lead the development of an accurate internal School Assessed Coursework (SAC) calendar.Collaborates with the Careers, Pathways and Transitions Coordinator, and career and employment providers to establish programs and pathways at Auburn High School.Member of the School Improvement Team (SIT), Teaching & Learning Team, and Curriculum & Learning Team (CLT).Other duties as assigned by the Principal.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.EEO AND OHS CommitmentApplicants seeking part-time employment are encouraged to apply for any teaching service position and, if they are the successful candidate, request a reduced time fraction.
