Aspiration Kindness Respect Social – community and demographics On a single site the school comprises facilities for primary, secondary and special needs education Develop a whole school response to improve student attendance · Increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ASTI) student attendance by working
with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Program Leader to:
- Ensure the teacher, year level coordinator or family liaison office phones (not SMS) the family if the student is absent for 3 days or more
- Increase the number of positive phone calls, values awards and postcards for Indigenous students
- Ensure the Koorie Attendance Data is investigated once a month in unit meetings with engagement inclusion strategies documented and provided to the Positive Climate for Learning Leading Teacher and ASTI Program coordinator
- Review monthly Indigenous attendance data
