Are you a strategic leader passionate about shaping the future of community and stakeholder engagement on the Gold Coast? The City of Gold Coast is seeking a visionary Manager External Stakeholder Engagement to drive impactful change and collaboration.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, you will lead a team of 45 dedicated professionals, embedding a Centre of Excellence for stakeholder engagement. The City is at a pivotal moment, experiencing significant growth and investing heavily in infrastructure to shape its future. Alongside this development, a robust customer experience program is underway to meet public demands for greater engagement and transparency. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that strengthen the City's relationships with all stakeholder groups in the community. By aligning engagement practices with the City's strategic objectives, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Gold Coast way of life.
Key Responsibilities: Inspire and lead a high-performing team dedicated to best-practice community engagement and strategic outcomes. Develop and execute data-driven strategies to inform public consultation and foster behavioural change on key initiatives such as waste management and active travel. Build and maintain influential partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups, fostering trust and collaboration to support the City's mission. What You'll Bring: Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams and delivering complex projects in a high-pressure environment. Expertise in strategic engagement , with a successful track record of managing politically sensitive relationships and delivering impactful outcomes. Outstanding communication skills , both verbal and written, to engage audiences effectively and convey critical information clearly. Data-driven and innovative approach , utilising analytics and digital engagement tools to drive and improve community outreach. The City is committed to enhancing the Gold Coast community's quality of life. Remuneration : Competitive package including a base salary of $180,000 + $30,000 car allowance + superannuation.
