General Manager Corporate and Commercial Services Bundaberg Regional Council | QLD
Lead financial and commercial services for a transforming regional council Shape strategy, drive cultural change and improve performance Enjoy an exceptional lifestyle in a beautiful coastal region Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking an experienced General Manager, Corporate and Commercial Services to drive organisational sustainability, providing strategic direction for finance, commercial operations, customer service and IT.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal candidate will be a local government professional with strong financial expertise and commercial insight.
This role is integral to advancing Council's financial strategy and promoting a customer-centric, high performing culture.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies for financial, customer service and commercial functions, ensuring alignment with Council's goals.
Oversee financial planning, risk management and audit functions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Guide Council on user-pays models, balancing community value with financial responsibility.
Foster a positive, collaborative team culture focused on efficiency and service excellence.
Lead innovation in IT and procurement services, promoting customer-focused improvements and operational best practices.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes The successful candidate will have extensive experience in local government financial management and commercial operations.
Proven experience in fostering organisational transformation, a Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification and a track record of driving efficiency and customer-focused outcomes will be highly regarded.
