Are you a hands-on tradesperson with a strong technical background in water and wastewater infrastructure? Take the next step in your career and join our team. We are seeking Leading Hands and Supervisors for our Water Wastewater Infrastructure Division.
About the Role
We're looking for a practical, results-driven leader who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves. You'll be responsible for overseeing and working alongside a dedicated crew to deliver Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects in Far North QLD. Your technical skills and trade experience will be vital in ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the crew in the construction, repair, and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
Read and interpret technical plans, drawings, and specifications to guide project execution.
Conduct hands-on work alongside your team to achieve project milestones.
Perform quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets standards.
Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Work with project managers and engineers to resolve on-site challenges and optimize workflows.
Mentor and develop team members by sharing your trade expertise.

What We're Looking For

Significant experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with a strong technical and trade background.
Proficiency in using and maintaining heavy machinery and hand tools specific to the trade.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Solid understanding of safety standards, environmental compliance, and industry best practices.
Proven ability to read and execute plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., plumbing, civil construction) and certifications such as White Card, confined space training, or similar.
A can-do attitude and a commitment to getting the job done right.
